Tom and Jerry crochet hats pattern

After years of intending to write out my pattern, I have finally done it! I created these hats back in 2012 when I decided to crochet my kids a couple of Tom and Jerry costumes for Halloween. After being asked multiple times for the pattern, it is now complete and I'm excited! You can find the pattern for sale in my Etsy shop https://www.etsy.com/listing/262024062/pattern-tom-and-jerry-crochet-hats
If you come across any errors or confusion, please let me know and I will help you out!

Little Mermaid birthday party

Going away cake

A few weeks ago we had a nice little potluck at work for a friend that was leaving. I decided to make a little going away cake to bring. I just used the rose technique to frost the cake and tossed pearl sprinkles all over it. To add a nice look to the color I made it ombre! To make the banner I used kabob sticks and burlap with letter stickers. Hot glue was my best friend to make the banner!

Sonic the Hedgehog birthday party

My son recently celebrated his 6th birthday and he decided he wanted it to be a Sonic one. Of course there isn't much out there to use for party supplies so I used basic colors for the table settings. After searching around on pinterest looking for ideas of how I wanted my cake to look, I came up with this! I had already purchased the 4 action figures to use as gifts and then decided to use them as cake toppers instead. I used my favorite buttercream frosting to make the background and grass, and some store bought yellow fondant to make the rings and the stars on the cupcakes. He was thrilled with the outcome and so was I!

It's starting to look a lot like Christmas!

Christmas is the perfect time for crafting! Especially since I moved into my own place  a few months ago and didn't take any of the decorations with me. I decided to make a few of my own to put up this year. So I went to Hobby Lobby and collected some supplies.

My supplies for the stocking holders were just the piece of wood used for the base, and the circular pieces as well. I found some cute little wooden snowflakes to add on. I first tried to stencil and paint the words, and that didn't turn out so well. I found the wooden letters at the store and it made it look so much better! I happened to find the pearl designs randomly and thought it looked like a cute little snowy breeze. Then I found the lacy burlap and made some bows to hang them up.

I spent a few days crocheting a tree skirt. I used a free doily pattern I found online and it came out perfectly! Just the right size for my 6' tree.
